From the seller: “Here is a perfect restoration project Velocette Venom. A 1960 model in the rarer red and black option colour scheme.
The bike is in generally very sound unrestored, unmolested condition. It was tempting to get it running but sadly the spark is very weak. It’s probably best to rebuild and clean out the engine anyway before running up after possibly 50 years in storage! It has 55,000 miles on the clock which sounds about right for a first time around machine.
The engine turns over and feels and sound good. Maybe a bit low on compression but that’s normal on an engine that hasn’t run for years. Gears all select OK.
The bike comes with V5C doc and old style green log book and original handbook / service manual.”
