From the seller: “1962 Triumph Tigress four stroke 250cc Electric Start. Bought new from Padgetts of Batley, West Yorkshire.
This is a restoration project, ready for someone to do over the winter months.
Comes with original deposit receipt, which shows the part exchange of 1 lambretta for the triumph, also included is the original sales receipt, an original sales brochure which is stamped with the Padgetts stamp, and an instruction manual too.
The scooter has some original period accessories that were bought with the scooter and can be seen listed in the original a sales brochure.
The bike has no log book as it couldn’t be found, but it has its last tax disc, its original Reg number and coupled with the original documents of purchase that can relate the frame engine and registration numbers then getting a log book should not be an issue at all.
As you can see the floor runners have suffered a bit of rot and the mudguard a little too, but a good fabricator and body shop specialist would sort this no problem.
The engine has stuck probably due to the fact that it has been stood since 1967.
The scooter is 100% complete so no need to be sourcing parts, even though getting parts for these isn’t such a task at all.”
