From the seller: “This is a genuine barn find…….most of the ‘barn finds’ on here have never seen the inside of a barn!
Please note that since collecting from said barn almost 10 years ago (where it had sat since 1972), I have not ‘tarted’ this bike up, I’ve never cleaned it, it has never been painted, it has not got any ‘filler’ anywhere, the engine/frame numbers are completely original and match the numbers written on the old buff log-book (pixelated in pictures). It has minimal superficial surface rust here and there but it’s completely rock solid. It also runs beautifully with NO smoke, strange noises or rattles. This bike has never been left outside in the rain. These bikes are only original ONCE. Becoming harder to find, especially COMPLETELY original and untouched versions such as this. I’ve owned this cool little bike since 2012. Apart from taking it around my grass paddock a handful of times, it’s been stored in a dry, warm garage with a blanket over it for the rest of the time. Prior to me buying it, she had stood in a dry barn since 1972 and has not been on the road since. This is borne out by the last MOT from 1971, which shows 8994 miles (currently showing 9169 miles). This will be classified as a historic vehicle and is MOT and tax exempt. I also have the last and original certificate of insurance belong to the last Lady owner from 1971. Just prior to taking pictures, I put fresh fuel in and replaced the oil for the first time in 6 years……started first kick! Runs like a little Japanese sewing machine. This bike is one of a kind. Please don’t just expect to jump straight on it and attempt a tour of the vineyards of Southern France…….it’s not been touched since 1971! It will need a general service/recommissioning and probably some new tyres.”
