This 1980 Honda C70 has been tucked away for a couple of decades, but you wouldn’t think so when you look at it. What a fantastic project!
From the seller: “I bought this bike in 1999 to use for work whilst in between cars. It was eventually relegated to back up transport and finally back of the shed transport. It was last used around September 2000 and was running fine when last put away.
As you can see from the pictures it would need some work, I have been told that the 70 version can be run without battery unlike the 50 and 90. Thus making it more popular for customising as there would be no need to build a battery box. I don’t know how true this is but the chap was the owner of a motorcycle repair shop. Ideal time to get your winter project.
I have the V5 in my name and it is still on the DVLA register.
These bike were prone to rust under the rear mudguard and inside the frame. A previous owner has had it treated with a ziebart coating to prevent this.
The mileage is 10877 and not likely to go up much in the near future.”
