From the seller: “Hello and welcome to the auction of my late father’s yamaha xj 750, this is a shaft driven Japanese import in good condition. This was his project, dry stored and he made progress on its restoration, unfortunately he did not have the time to complete it due to his health.

I have had the v5 put into my name as the motorbike was part of the estate and left to me.

Bike currently does not have a battery, however I have attached a battery pack to the power leads, lights work, indicator works, bike starter motor turns freely off the button, bike selects gears fine and there looks to be new coils and plugs fitted.

Carburettor is currently off the bike and the air box is all there just resting in place at present.

I have not played any more to get the bike running however I can say dad did have this running previously.”
