From the seller: “I am selling my 1926 BSA “Roundtank” 250cc side-valve vintage motorcycle, which needs full restoration.
This is the deluxe model, which was supplied with a Terry’s saddle and a 3-speed gearbox. It was originally black with a green tank. It was first registered in Newcastle and has remained in the North-East for its entire life.
I first saw this bike back in 1972 when it was owned by a local schoolteacher and awaiting restoration. I bought it, still unrestored, about 15 years ago from the dealer who cleared all the bikes following the owners death. I have too many projects so have decided to sell this one.
I have a V5 in my name, along with an old logbook and other documents of the previous owner. The two letter, four number registration mark is transferable although I hope that this wont happen. I also have a set of water-slide transfers for the tank, which were supplied by the VMCC a few years ago.”
