From the seller: “This is a genuine super rare barn find twin port head Rudge Radial 250 from 1934 with frame number 531XX and engine number T3XX.
It was reputedly used for racing back in the day but I have no evidence of that apart from it not having a kickstart and having home made ‘silencers’ which I’d definitely recommend replacing! There are a few bits and pieces with the bike including the speedo drive and what looks like the speedo drive mounting plate and pushrods but I’m not sure if they are Rudge or not.
This was found decades ago and restoration started but stalled and has sat in a barn for about 30 or 40 years. The tank has been chromed, painted, lined and covered in vaseline to preserve it, the frame has been coated and the mudguards and other parts have been sprayed.”
