While waiting for the V5C to arrive, I put it on the ramp and gave it the once over.
There is no key with these, just a flat screwdriver, I guess crooks were unlikely to steal these old police bikes back in the 60’s.
Anyway, I charged the battery and cleaned out the carb and she started 3rd kick!!!
They knew how to build them back then with needle roller bearings, shaft drive and water cooled engine.
Shame Triumph didn’t take a leaf out of Velocette’s book.”
