From the seller: “Hi, here we have for sale my bmw k75
I got the bike from my brother in laws friend who had owned it for 30 years as I fancied a project but no free time has forced me to sell it,but if it doesn’t sell I will get it back on the road one day
He rode and maintained it for 20 years and in 2011 parked it up in his garage
10 years later he decided he would not use it again so I bought it
The service history is good and I have lots of receipts for work done including final drive and shaft and clutch plus old mots
Most services were done at pidcock bmw and the last full service was at k122
Last mot was sept 2011 at 124048 so the bike did less than 300 miles before being parked up at 124332 miles
During storage the petrol tank had rotted through so to get the bike up and running I sealed the tank with resin and petseal
It doesn’t leak now but I would recommend getting a second hand tank to be safe
The bike is now running ,starting ,stopping and all lights etc seem to be working
Please bear in mind that the bike is over 30 years old and was used for transport to work not just a sunny Sunday luxury
Seat has only got one hinge ,some plastics are held on with cable ties etc etc
I am selling it as spares or repair but don’t think it will take much to get it back on the road ”
