From the seller: “For sale is my Z650B that was imported from the US in 2010 and fully restored in 2012. I rode it as a daily ride for a year or so then cancer got in the way so it sat at the back of the garage. Other projects have now taken over so I need space in the garage so unfortunately it needs to go.
The bike had a bare metal restoration with frame, swing arm and odds and ends powder coated and paintwork finished in candy red. The engine was stripped and had new rings, gaskets and exhaust valves. It rides well but has a bit of a top end rattle so suspect the exhaust valves might need reshimming (not a major job but I just don’t have the time).
This is a bike that was restored to ride, not be a show piece, its very tidy but if you want to show it, it will need a bit of tidying up (the wheel rims have a couple of rust spots). It is however complete including a tricky to get hold of original airbox and four into two exhaust system (original down pipes and collectors and reproduction silencers)
Buy it to ride or a bit of fettling will give you something special.”
