From the seller: “I rode this bike into the garage in 1999/2000 and its been there ever since!
I used to commute to London on it and I recall it used to occasionally blow a fuse. when my mates FZ 750 came up I started riding that and this one got left. I bought a Honda cb 250 rectifier(the recommended fix at the time- now lost) dismantling part of the wiring loom and remember revisiting it to find the tank was leaking, threw a sheet over it and that was that.
Fast forward 20 years and it’s time for a new garage ! So it’s gotta go!
Unfortunately despite searching I can’t find the v5, however I do have a little paperwork proving I owned it. It has a Harris exhaust, I changed the headlight and had some new sidepanels, there is also a big box of spare parts included- sorry forgot to take photo! I recall engine parts as I bought a bottom end and swapped out the gear selector , a swing arm, casings its a Y reg 1985? and I have a broken number plate, the rear end I cut down but still have the parts. The fork stantions were hard chromed just before the bike was laid up and look in great condition and if I recall I had progressive suspension springs fitted. This bike has seen the Isle of man at 135mph and really used to shift! Old school muscle bike. Could make a great cafe racer project!”
