From the seller: “This bike was registered in the UK by myself on 01/06/2002 so I have owned it for nearly 20 years.
The bike is matching numbers and in original condition / paint apart from the Arrow exhaust, EBC rear disc, Renthal bars and brush guards. It has been stored for a number of years so I have flushed the tank, cleaned the carbs, fitted new inlet rubbers, seat cover and serviced the brakes. It runs well and all the electrics work as they should, clutch and gearbox are fine.
Starting is problematic, this is an early kickstart only model, I can only get it to start by squirting fuel directly into the carb, if I do this it starts first kick so I guess there is a problem with the choke? If I pull the choke with the engine running it stalls, so its not blocked. My best guess is that the carb needs a rebuild kit or I am not kicking it over hard enough.”
